Lighting / On-board Video Lights

On-board video lights are designed to be small, lightweight, and sit in the hot shoe of a camera. While they are the least powerful continuous light, their compact size makes them great for run-and-gun style videography in rapidly changing environments, such as event work or documentary film making. They come with limited options to soften the light, however have a wide range colour to either match or creatively contrast the ambient lighting in the scene.
